Tom Fischer (Action Pyramid) and Simon Williams (Sunny Graves)

Blending their individual practices into a speculative worldbuilding project, the members of VÖİDİ co-created a world in which a void (nothing/everything) lies at its center, placing their world in a liminal state that risks disappearance. At the same time, the void makes spacetime porous and malleable, making reality sensitive to the influence of its inhabitants’ consciousness. Its inhabitants then only need to communicate through intention, emotion, and frequency, no longer requiring language for daily communication. Spoken language is specifically reserved for  the collective stabilization rituals that use words and voices to summon the disappearing world back into a more material, inhabitable state. In this live transmission, VÖİDİ uses field recordings from where they reside, vocal improvisations, text and music to simulate the stabilization ritual.
