On Thursday, 19 September, we were joined by Júlia Nueno, doctoral researcher at Forensic Architecture, who will present the interactive investigations that this platform has developed over the past year to evidence the Israeli military campaign destroying life in Gaza.
These investigative methods are especially directed towards analyzing the manipulation and disinformation instigated by the Israeli army, the expansion of war, and the ecocide brought about by the military campaign. They also prove useful for identifying recurrent and intentional military patterns. Forensic Architecture is a multidisciplinary research group based at Goldsmiths, University of London, which uses spatial analysis and digital modeling to reconstruct instances of violence and human rights abuses committed by states, corporations, and reactionary forces. This talk was a collaboration between Júlia Nueno and the Institute for Postnatural Studies as part of her residency at Intermediae Matadero within the program “Sin lo otro la Tierra no sería”, developed by Maria Buey Gonzalez.

At the event we sold the poetry book “Poemas de y por Palestina II” during the event, edited by Otra Sinceridad and printed at Imprenta San Delfín. All funds raised went to organizations dedicated to aid in Gaza. The Institute is an active member of TEJA—a Spain-based network of cultural spaces providing support to emergency situations.
